In recent years, the emergence of New Space or the new space economy has brought about a true disruption in the space sector, which has seen the opening of a new market niche with a greater capacity to commercialize services for local companies.
This paradigm shift is promoting the democratization of the space sector, where SMEs and startups now have a place, and where governments like that of Catalonia can have a very good position, creating a global opportunity for multiple business models across the entire value chain and promoting a great return on investments made in this area.
The 2024 edition of the congress will be held on October 1 and 2, and aims to consolidate Barcelona as an international hub of the space sector. The internationalization of the congress will facilitate bringing contacts, visibility, and business to the Catalan New Space ecosystem. Special visibility will be given to the opportunities of space for the entire industry, and the role of regions like Catalonia.
These two days will turn Barcelona into the center of the new space economy, serving to learn about and understand the business opportunities provided by this sector in areas such as sustainability, new manufacturing systems, new business models, sustainable mobility, and new investment opportunities.
